I am back from Africa (South Africa, Mozambique, and Zambia) and right away I transfer to you the following information from Dr Hans Haubold and Dr Christine Amory about the "Space Weather School" underway at Helwan University in Egypt.

Subject: Space Weather School

Hi All

The school of Space Weather (ISWI) started today mormimg with an optionnal training to Matlabas software as we need some technical knowledge for this school.

Tomorrow morning we will officially start with the openning ceremony Find enclosed the schedule and the details of the training 30 students are participating to this school

PS : all the teachers are in the Hosting House of the Helwan University. The computer room is OK (each student will have a PC connected to the net). (See attached files)

Helwan University is the location of the 2010 ISWI workshop; it will take place in early November of this year ... soon. (click here)
