Prof. Yumoto (publisher) and myself (editor) extend our best wishes to Frederic as he prepares to go to NCAR next year to work with Dr Art Richmond. We hope it turns into a great experience.

And our thoughts and prayers go to all the citizens of Cote d'Ivoire, where civil strife is ravaging the country. GIRGEA and the MAGDAS Project have common ground here as we have been working there for many years.

Just last year, members of the MAGDAS Project (myself and two students of Prof. Yumoto) visited Abidjan to upgrade the magnetometer from MAG-I to MAG-9. Details of this upgrade can be found in ISWI Newsletter Vol.2, No68.
