I would like to inform you that we need to change the date of the 7th SBGEA for Nov. 05÷09, 2018 motivated by the coincidence of dates here in the University (first week of classes) and several holidays that will occur in September, besides the national elections in October. So, the new date approved by all the National Scientific Committee member was November.

SBGEA is going to his seven national meeting, that is a highly successful biennial scientific meeting that have been occurring, since 2006, at different regions of Brazil. The major goal of this event is to debate the main scientific themes of Space and Atmospheric Sciences, including Aeronomy, Meteorology and related Engineering. Also, this meeting facilitates the approaches of student to professors and researchers, promoting the interchange of ideas and knowledge. The Space Geophysics and Aeronomy are interdisciplinary scientific fields that explore the near-Earth space, the interplanetary medium and its relationships to the Sun and Earth's Atmosphere. In these research areas, besides the classical Meteorology and Engineering, involve more than 13 universities and research institutes in Brazil, totalizing more than 100 professors and scientists.
The aim of the 7th SBGEA Symposium in 2018 is to combine new results from observational, theoretical and modelling studies conduct in the last years to gain a better understanding of the Space, Sun and interplanetary medium effects on Earth's atmosphere and climate, especially in the Ionosphere and Middle atmosphere dynamics, besides the coupling effects throughout the whole upper atmosphere/ionosphere system and the lower atmospheric layers.
VenueThe SBGEA Symposium to be held in Santa Maria-RS, South Brazil, at the main Auditorium of the Southern Regional Space Research Center of INPE, from Aug. 6 to Aug. 10, 2018, that is a fresh weather period (end of winter) with low chace of rain and mild temperatures at early in the morning and at night, enjoyable weather along the day.
